December 10 1948 and Australia committed itself to human rights for its people; 70 years later and we have lost sight of what it is to be an empathic, caring and honest human beings.
Successive governments have failed the people to the point where we are led by those who turned their eyes away from the reality that an Australia looking ahead after the second World War.
Our parents and grandparents set a standard and no government has been able to take human rights the next step save for matter of convenience compliance for now 70 years.
If there is one thing the people of Australia needs is a break from the exhaustion and disgust they repeatedly experience at the signorance, the lack of humanity and games of power, corruption and greed for the boys. The vision of those who went to war to defend the fair go we all seek have been shit on by consecutive governments to the point where our blue ribbons come accompanied with the label of human rights abusers.
This and the constipated response here in Australia to the global clergy abuse crisis grieves me to the point where I feel I must attempt to turn this around and that's where I am at right now. If you want to have a look please do so and give me any tips on how you think I can get some momentum going on such an important issue.
