You have to shut-up. You talk too much
Ponderings for June 19, 2017
Now there is a statement that everyone should read simply because many of us get to think about these things yet few of us get to have a meaningful conversation. Conversation in my childhood was restricted just as it was attempted to be restricted later in my life when the issue of family connections with Bill Morris the bishop of Toowoomba and his wants along with a "good" Christian coven began to seriously intrude into my life with the bishops demands of silence and the covens concern over me not being a good Christian. That event stars as one of the most bizarre moments in my life where a neighbor was delegated to confront me to set me on the right path as he was sure he and those members of the localy convened coven were on the right track with regard to my biblical responsibilities as a father and husband and they were just being good forthrigt Christians by trying to threaten me with biblical damnation as I apparently was not meeting their expectations. Unknown to me the time my wife was also an active member of this cloistered and biblically sanctioned local relgious police group making sure I kept on the heavenly pathway for them. The bishops want for me to be silent about my abuse and my lack of belief in the Catholic religion were the mainstays of their demands. My response to him was not what he expected and then not polite.
I do have a faint recollection of a very early conversation with a younger sister that was about the difficulty of home ownership and how the government should be more helpful - this was in my cubby house building era and mimicking perhaps the events affecting our parents at that time. This may have taken place around the time when mum and dad joined a housing co-operative(John and Gato Zammit were also members); they purchased or attempted to purchase the block of land next to Herbie and Morrie Kemp who owned the block. It was not fenced from Herbie and Morrie's block. I recal Peter my eldest brother starting a project where he was going to tunnel from there to our house 8 or 10 blocks away down the hill. I am unsure of the details of how that came about however I do know that the block of land was mentioned by Herbie when he spoke with mum and I about the changes he had made to his Will not long after Maurie died.
I read this on a site recently and was struck by the statement Camille Jénatzy Belgian inventor
We must never accept the status quo -- even one of our own making -- as the end of progress.
Progress never ends.
And besides, the world hungers for it.
We all want a better world for ourselves and our children: a world without war, without pain, without poverty, without hunger, without injustice, without climate change.
We want a world in balance.
We want a world built on peaceful, sustainable prosperity.
A world where all of us, everywhere, have all we need to lead full lives rich in opportunity and freedom.
If we can imagine that world, then we can make it a reality.

One to discuss with those friends who have children in a religion based school : God in Australia as a mental health issue in 2018
Look at that - you were able to read this far and obviously the the roof has not collapsed and you simply cannot be responsible for the downfall of the Catholic Church as I was identified as a child as being that culprit, people around you are not being drawn down to a fiery pit that does not show up on any scan of the universe and whats more you can spread this a little further so that others can get a wider viewpoint instead of the steady diet that the Australian Press feeds us on this very narrow perspective that gets repeatedly played out in our press and media, our parliaments and our health, education and legal systems before it infiltrates our communities with that malicious touch of Christians that has allowed the rape of women and children to run unchecked for so long. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse will change us all. Let us hope that the children are not forgotten in the future.

John Brown was born in Yea Victoria 3717 on 27 December, 1948. John grew up in Yea, he went to the Catholic school on The Parade Yea and then a final year at Yea High school in Station Street. He undertook an apprenticeship as a Hand and Machine Compositor/Linotype Mechanic at the local newspaper The Yea Chronicle who recently declined to publish John's story. John left Yea after realising that the proprietor and local policeman Bill Ellison along with other local Catholics in his hometown and surrounds at that time were well aware of his abuse and of the rape and abuse of other children in Yea and district and were aware of the many events surrounding the murder of Herbert Henry Kemp of Yea ...... read more and more and more and Site Map
Investigation of an unsolved murder in 1962 can no longer be investigated according to police taskforce SANO because a different pedophile Catholic clergyman who raped a child at age 8 is now dead. As a result of the dead rapist being unconnected with the murder Victorian police remain clue less.
Later in life John married in Toowoomba only to begin the most bizarre period in his life as he learned that he wasnow related by marriage to the then bishop of Toowoomba Bill Morris. Morris was the head of the bishops conference at that time and was the "Go to" person in the country for survivors of childhood sexual abuse by Catholic clergy and yet I was never able to get a time or a conversation with the bishop. I did get conversations or connection with a number of Catholic organisations with varying degrees of weirdness some of which I have written about in my blog The FAQyMe gene & the lifelong search for safe, moral and ethical social justice, the Human Right to a trauma informed and evidence based recovery and social re-engagement unhindered by the fear, anger and blockages from other people's gods .
John is author and publisher of #TraumaTheory and regularly blogs at The FAQyMe gene on his journey, recovery and the horror and the scale of this global issue.
John's personal story is just another from the hundreds of millions of other stories across the globe eminating from the human rights abuses and ongoing horrors of the systemic rape, abuses of trust, fraud, deception and cover up in the global Catholic and other religions. Like those others his "issues in life" arose and remain simply because his abusers as a child were just like theirs in that their rapists and abusers were Catholic or Catholic or Christian clergy and they too remain ineligible or unable to have their human rights upheld in their lifetime..
